How The Escapologist Will Be Celebrating Pride This Year
This year, The Escapologist is introducing a special Pride-themed cocktail. This exquisite drink has been specially crafted to delight the tastebuds with a blend of flavours that are as bold and diverse as the colours of the rainbow. Introducing "Rainbow Bliss" (a stand-in name), this cocktail is a symphony of taste and colour, combining tropical fruits and premium spirits to create a drink that’s both visually stunning and utterly delicious.
To make this celebration even more special, The Escapologist is hosting a competition to name this fabulous cocktail. We invite you to put your creative hats on and come up with a name that embodies the spirit of Pride. The person who submits the winning name will receive a round of 4 free "Rainbow Bliss" cocktails to share with friends!

Pride Month, celebrated in the UK from the 1st – 30th June this year, remembers the Stonewall Riots of 1969 in New York City which sparked the LGBTQ+ rights movement and since then, Pride has grown into a global phenomenon. In the UK, Pride events have a history dating back to the first Gay Pride Rally in London in 1972.
Over the decades, Pride events have evolved from small gatherings to grand celebrations attended by millions, reflecting the growing acceptance and support for LGBTQ+ rights. This year, Pride Month in the UK is set to be more spectacular than ever, with a myriad of events planned across the country, a few examples include:
London Pride Parade (Sat, 29th June 2024): As the biggest LGBT+ event in the UK, the London Pride Parade will once again take to the streets with vibrant floats, energetic performances, and powerful messages of love and acceptance.
Brighton & Hove Pride (Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th August 2024): Known for its colourful and inclusive atmosphere, Brighton & Hove Pride will feature a stunning parade, a star-studded lineup of performances, and various community events.
Manchester Pride Festival (Friday 23rd - Monday 26th August 2024): With its renowned parade, candlelit vigil, and the "Gay Village Party," Manchester Pride remains a cornerstone of the UK's Pride celebrations.
Leeds Pride (Sunday 21st July 2024): As the biggest celebration of LGBTQ+ life in Yorkshire, Leeds Pride will showcase a spectacular parade and live music, the colourful parade kicks off at Millennium Square, winding its way through the city streets and culminating on Lower Briggate by The Calls.
