The Storyline…

One moment you’re on the right path… the next, poof! You’ve taken a wrong turn down a crooked, cobbled alleyway, and now you’ve landed in a place that definitely isn’t on any map.

Your wand? Missing.

Your spellbook? Vanished.

Your sense of direction? Highly questionable!

The shops around you sparkle with enchantment, secrets shimmer in every corner, and puzzles practically beg to be solved. You’d love to stay and explore, but there’s a small problem: you’ve got a very important train to catch, and the clock is ticking!

To get back on track, you’ll need to puzzle your way through the twisting, tricksy Parlour of Secrets - decipher magical riddles, uncover hidden clues, and unlock a path to the station before the last whistle blows.

Will you make it in time… or be lost in Vertic Alley forever?

This room is wheelchair accessible.

Some games may include variations in lighting and sound, such as flashing lights and loud noises. If you have any sensory sensitivities or concerns, please inform a member of our team upon arrival, before your game begins.

Please note that this room is located at our Xscape, Castleford venue, if you show up at the wrong location, we won’t be able to reimburse you. 

Rules

please arrive at least 10 minutes before your booking time to allow our team sufficient time to brief you and grant access to the room.

Please adhere to all age-related restrictions for your booking. Players aged 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also required to pay and play. Players aged 14 to 16 must have a parent or guardian remain on the premises for the duration of the booking (participation is not required).

We kindly ask all guests - whether enjoying a game, having a drink, or waiting for others - to refrain from bringing outside food or beverages into the venue.
